As a Liberal Arts student at BCC I am held to certain academic standards, such as the ability to:

• Navigate rapidly growing information environment through use of digital technology.
• Locate, evaluate, and effectively use information from a broad range of appropriate sources.
• Consider, analyze, synthesize, and respond to diverse viewpoints in a variety of academic settings.
• Develop innovative strategies for problem solving using original and predictive thinking.
• Write with clarity and purpose, demonstrating an awareness for rhetorical context and audience.

In my time competing I have become well traveled, and interacted with people of all backgrounds. Being exposed to these experiences has given me a better understanding of cultural differences, and I have been lucky enough to form relationships and collaborate with a wider variety of people. In addition to this, my time producing content has made me more technologically literate. To summarize, my extra-curricular experiences have fostered the following soft-skills:

• The ability to work effectively in a team environment
• The ability to remain composed and focused under high stress conditions
• Experience working with people from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
• Efficiency using programs such as Microsoft Excel, Sony Vegas, Adobe Photoshop, Slack, and Zoom.
