Examples of My Work
“The internet is arguably the most prosperous form of communication and entertainment to ever exist. Never in human history has there been an invention so convenient, easy to use, and most importantly, powerful. We all hold our own mini super computers that obey our every demand, and occupy our under, (yet over), stimulated minds. However, these magnificent devices always come with drawbacks and benefits. Phones, and the internet itself, are tools we should use with responsibility. But what happens when we aren’t mindful of our internet usage?” – From “tech essay” written in April of 2024
“Now that I’ve finalized my research, I can confidently say I agree Cherry’s, philosophy’s, perspective the most. I simply find the open-endedness of “What matters most is what you believe is most important to you” extremely charming and comforting. But, also because of Cherry’s writing, I acknowledge that your point of living is different from mine. I’ve learned that everyone’s drive is different, and its okay that they’re different. If you want to love the Lord, then go for it. If you want to spend your life understanding the ins and outs on cell reproduction and how that somehow can create more life, go for it. All that matters is we all find our points to keep going, and respect everyone else’s points. And I think that’s beautiful.” – From “The Point” written in December of 2023
“I’ve come a long way from who I was back then. I’ve been in therapy for 6 years now, and I’ve learned how to cope with my issues. I don’t feel that sort of hopelessness much anymore. I don’t know if it was a positive or negative experience, but it has had a huge impact on my life. I know my mental health will be a lifelong issue. As strange as this sounds, I’m glad I have a specific moment to pinpoint my start with my battle with mental health. I wouldn’t have done anything differently. I was 11, I did the best I could with the little amount of knowledge I had. Although sometimes I wish I could go back and strangle the younger me, I try to extend empathy to myself. Being kind to my past has always been hard, but this memory makes it easier to forgive myself.” – From “reflection essay” written in February of 2024
