Synchroneyes

On Feb 21, Colleen Schafer, a master trainer from Smart Technologies, gave a workshop on Sychroneyes for 9 faculty and staff members. The session was guided by a clear and understandable trainee manual, and Colleen freely answered many questions from the participants. Synchroneyes is the software that allows the instructor to access and project students’ computer screens to the whole class, or as a one-to-one sharing. We were shown many methods for using Synchroneyes to highlight student work, share web pages simultaneously broadcast to all student computers, assist students in completing assignments, and create groups within the classroom who can share screens among their group. This highly interactive tool is being used in the writing labs (H114 and M113), and is also available in the CTL. Future training sessions are upcoming.
