Our 7 members who are going through the new faculty program called “Getting Results” have now passed the halfway point (3 out of the 6 sessions completed!). Last Friday (4/25), we had a lively session on Active and Collaborative Learning, as well as a review and recap of learning outcomes. The next 3 sessions of GR include Learning Outside the Classroom, Teaching with Technology, and Assessment. The last two sessions will consist of a full-day retreat at the Intermodal Center. Participants will each share a presentation of changes they will make to one of their courses based on what they learned through the GR program. The hope is to have the GR program run each Fall for new and interested faculty.
