Blandford Golf Club food services opportunities

The Blandford Club is a golf and tennis club (www.massgolftennis.com) with approximately 150 members with three dining facilities including a banquet room, a luncheonette and a seated dining area; seating approximately 80, 12, and 28 respectively, and a basic kitchen with the essential components. A $50 food credit is part of the membership fee.

There are many regularly scheduled events and special occasions which require food service and also opportunities to provide dining experiences to the community. Members and non-members also host private parties for special occasions e.g. birthdays, funerals and weddings, etc. which require food service.

Independents Contractor (to provide food service):

Requirements:

  • Must be a certified licensed food provider
  • Must demonstrate an in-force General Liability policy
  • Provide resume and references
  • Ability to propose menus suitable to the membership
  • Ability to prepare meals quickly
  • Ability to procure amounts of food and minimize waste
  • Flexibility for late comers and no-shows for scheduled events

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and propose menus to Concessionaire Manager
  • Hire waiter/waitress staff
  • Responsible for procurement and preparation of food
  • Maintain a sanitary kitchen and overall clean environment in eating facilities
  • Execute concessionaire contract
  • Computer tracking of revenues

Tuesday 11am-2pm, 5pm-8pm
Thursday 11am-2pm
Friday 11am-2pm, 5pm-8pm
Saturday 11am-2pm, 6pm-9pm
Sunday 9am-1pm

Development and Donor Relations Assistant

Successful and stable Pittsfield-based charitable organization focused on land conservation seeks an energetic, organized, detail-oriented person to help with development and donor relations.  Task areas will include database management, donor research, scheduling, occasional grant-writing, correspondence, coordination of publications, and public outreach. Clerical duties are a significant component of the job, but for a person with ideas and initiative there’s great opportunity for growth and creativity in areas of fundraising, communications and personal outreach. 40 hours per week

Requirements:

  • Proficient writing skills
  • Experience in non-profit donor relations or customer relations very helpful

Technical Service Representative

Job Description:

  • Develops knowledge of polymer materials and test methods and how to communicate common polymer test practices, specimen requirements, pricing and scheduling to customers and potential clients. Training available
  • Ensures timely follow up and follow through on requests
  • Tracks and analyze status of leads, quotes and lost business
  • Uses common and company-specific systems (CRM, quoting, accounting and scheduling systems) to provide and track information, while ensuring the accuracy and thoroughness of all data entries
  • Supports marketing and sales when necessary including web, e-mail, customer visits, sales calls
  • Provides administrative support, when appropriate
  • Provides support to the Customer Service Department

Requirements:

  • AS/BS degree in a relevant program (business, science, technical) or related experience in a sales support or customer service role or technical field
  • Understanding of common polymer materials test methods (ASTM, ISO, other) a plus
  • Ability to interact externally with clients/prospects, and internally with other departments to ensure complete customer satisfaction and timely response
  • Excellent organization, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through on multiple tasks
  • Computer literacy (Windows, MS Office); CRM, LIMS and PeopleSoft preferred (not necessary)
  • Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced, multitasking, client oriented environment
  • Must be self-motivated and detail oriented

Librarian Assistant

The Becket Athenaeum located at 3367 Main Street in Becket has an immediate opening for a library assistant. The Becket Athenaeum is a vibrant community center in Becket Village. We have an after school program, book club, and varied selection of books, dvds, magazines, music, and museum passes for circulation.

We are currently staffed by 3 paid professionals, 3 interns, and a large group of volunteers. The new library assistant position reports to the Athenaeum Director but takes direction from the Librarian. This position will maintain new and existing material circulation, interact with patrons, general cleaning, and work on large library projects. This is a 4 hour per week position with salary to start at $11/ hour with room for growth in both hours and salary.

This position will be scheduled to work some evenings and Saturdays. There will be some overlap of the schedule with other staff, but this position will work alone most of the time.
