Here are a couple art projects I’ve done over the years at BCC. The first is a charcoal still life from 2011, and the second is an Audubon grayscale painting that I recolored in 2024.

Still Life, 2011
In More Detail (Still Life):
FAS 111 (Drawing I) was a fine arts course that focused on still life charcoal drawings. This is my favorite piece of work from the course.
In More Detail (Audubon):
For this Ornithology project, we were tasked with printing out grayscale copies of Audubon paintings so that we could color them by hand ourselves. This replicated the process that each copy of Birds of America went through, with printing shop employees hand-painting copies of Audubon’s work. I used colored pencils and completed this project over the course of a week. Below are some close-up images. Right-click on an image and choose Open Image in New Tab to see the images in more detail.
