Skills

I’m a person where there are certain skills I’m good at and certain skills I need to develop in. I feel that as I take more classes and put myself out there a little more, I will slowly master skills I need work in and thrive moving forward.

The main skill I’ve developed more of this semester would be my writing skills. This semester has really put to work my writing skills, especially in my English class. I’ve learned many tools when writing an essay like citing sources, finding out if the sources I’m finding are reliable and unbiased, how to properly write an essay, and to make an outline of the essay. My favorite part was getting feedback and being able to properly use feedback to improve my essay. Also in my Liberal Arts class, I’ve written a few essays without any trouble. My English class really taught me how to keep writing an essay even if there is a certain word count. The main take away from this semester is my writing skills improving.

Another skill I’ve been getting better at is communicating. This semester especially in my Liberal Arts and English classes have made me better at communicating. In those classes, we get to do these forums each week and I get to voice my opinion and get to hear others and provide feedback. By doing these forums, I feel more confident in communicating with my professors and classmates.
