The Berkshire Community College music and theatre programs will present their annual Spring Concert, “A Salute to Musical Theatre,” on Friday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. in the Boland Theatre. The concert will feature the BCC Chorale, soloists from the theatre program, the cast of the upcoming BCC Players production of Monty Python’s SPAMALOT, as well as a performance by the Dance I and Dance II classes, taught by instructor Andrea Borak.
The BCC Chorale, under the direction of Marjorie Rahima Hohlstein DMA, will perform selections from The Lion King, Sunset Boulevard, Les Miserables, Hair, Wicked, and Godspell, featuring student soloists Kate Miller and James Russell. Theatre students, directed and accompanied by Ellen Shanahan, will present songs from Les Miserables, Wonderful Town, Little Shop of Horrors, and Shrek the Musical. The cast of Monty Python’s SPAMALOT will also perform songs from the production, which opens on May 10. The Dance I and Dance II classes will perform to music from Phantom of the Opera.
The concert is free and open to the public. Forum credit is available.
