Blog discussion topic on the Sociological Perspective

This blog discussion is based on chapter 1 and 2 of the book Seeing Ourselves, the articles by Peter Berger and C. W Mills.

Explain Peter Berger’s description of the sociological perspective as “seeing the general in the particular.” or C W Mills’s description of the sociological Imagination as ‘Perhaps the most fruitful distinction with which the sociological imagination works is between ‘the personal troubles of milieu’ and ‘the public issues of social structure.’

Explain how we know that the power of society is evident in the personal decision to bear a child or even in the act of committing suicide (e.g. at the Golden gate Bridge)
