If you have a few minutes, this is a very interesting post to read from the Academic Commons. In it, the author — Professor Luke Fernandez of Weber State College in Utah — describes a Moodle meeting and its social constructivist underpinnings. Even if online isn’t your thing, this article includes some pretty in-depth musings about how we learn and the relation of the individual to the collective learning approach. Much of the article quotes John Seely Brown, a pretty well-known tech/learning guru from Xerox Park and other ventures out West.
