Cover Letter Checklist
__Include your contact information (phone and professional e-mail address)
__Include the company’s name and address.
__Include the date.
__Use an appropriate greeting (Dear Ms. Smith:).
__If possible, address your cover letter to a named individual.
__Mention the position name/title, and where you saw the job posting.
__Mention your skills that correspond with those on the job posting.
__Highlight your strongest qualifications.
__Use examples to illustrate your points.
__Demonstrate that you have researched the company.
__Encourage the reader to contact you for an interview.
__Format your cover letter as a standard business letter.

A few tips: Try to keep your resume to one page; If using your own format, you may wish to do more with formatting: bold, underline, etc.
