Policy Legal Intern

Under the direction of the Director of Policy and HR Compliance Counsel, the Policy Legal Intern will generally be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the analysis, review and drafting of MassDOT and META policies and procedures, HR communications and other related project materials;
  • Conducting web-based research on relevant case law, laws/regulations and other scholarly materials; and clearly and concisely summarizing his/her research in writing;
  • Using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software to prepare draft materials and communications; and
  • Performing administrative tasks as needed (e.g., organizing files and documents, making copies, and intake tracking of policy and compliance workflow and pnAects).

Students will be paid $16.00 per hour for this position.

Qualifications:

This requisition will remain open until filled; however, first consideration will be given to those applicants who apply within the first 14 days. Applicants must have/be:

  • 18 years or older
  • a full-time law school student for the current (Spring 2017) semester and be a full-time law school student for the Fall 2017 semester
