String Teaching Artist North Adams (12 hrs/week)

The Teaching Artist will lead beginning and intermediate school-aged string ensembles, and string lessons.  Lessons will focus on age appropriate skill development for young musicians and building community through ensemble playing.  This teacher will work to inspire and motivate children and youth to participate to their fullest potential. He or she will be open and flexible for co-teaching experiences as well as different curriculum ideas.  Experience in violin, teaching music, and a belief in music as a vehicle for social change is a must.
