The Director of Dining and Food Services serves as a leader, champion, and coach to our dining team and plays an integral role in ensuring outstanding experiences for our guests. He/she manages the day to day dining services operation, ensuring that our guests are delivered world-class food and service, as well as healthy, fresh, and exciting dining options. This individual also oversees the development and management of the department’s budget and is responsible for meeting or exceeding the established goals for safety and sanitation, cost efficiency, and staffing requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts management or a closely related academic area
  • Extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and training in safety and sanitation protocols
  • 5 years of food service and dining management experience, including in a leadership capacity in the non-profit, educational, hospitality, and/or corporate sectors
  • Proven success leading a world-class food services and dining operation
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse group of associates ranging from dishwashers to chefs
  • Demonstrated experience in food preparation and oversight of the quality and quantity of food serviced
  • Exceptional leadership, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and organizational skills
  • Safe Serve certification and experience implementing HAACP
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills with a proven ability to motivate others
  • Proven success partnering with Human Resources in hiring and developing a diverse staff
  • Extensive knowledge of public health safety standards, FDA, and food safety regulatory requirements
  • Ability to influence senior management, through personal interactions as well as the creation and delivery of presentations
