POSITION: Day Habilitation Manager
Program/dept.: PYRAMID (A community-based rehabilitation program for adults with physical handicaps and developmental delays. Focus is on skill-building, communication skills and community integration.)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (flexibility required)

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Four years of human service experience including two years working with people with physical and mental disabilities OR two years of experience with a Master’s degree in a related field.
- Two years of staff supervisory experience.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of assistive devices and techniques for promoting access and independence for people with disabilities.
- Demonstrate respect for the rights and abilities of people with disabilities
- A Plus: Knowledge of vocational and pre-vocational models.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop program systems for unit evaluation, efficiency, growth, change, etc.
- Ensure program goals and objectives are achieved by monitoring daily and obtaining member feedback and input; ensure that program adheres to standards.
- Supervise staff, establish annual goals, evaluate staff within timelines, and provide program orientation and training.
- Exercise leadership, provide directions and guidance and present a positive image at internal and external meetings, trainings, activities and events.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by preventing and responding to customer complaints and comments, maintaining quality, meeting deadlines and measuring satisfaction.
- Coordinate program coverage, supervision and monitoring of daily plans.
- Ensure members are integrated with non-handicapped individuals.
- Coordinate individualized programming for members as determined by need, interest and skill.
- Ensure Medicaid compliance through programming, staffing and paperwork.
