Schedule: Behold! New Lebanon programs will run: Friday, August 29 –Monday, Sept 1; Friday, September 12-Sunda6y, September 14; Friday. October 10 – Monday, October 13; Friday. October 31 – Sunday, November 2. The Visitor Center will be open starting Thursday of the weekends programs are operating.  Participation in the training program for all jobs will be required.

Visitor Center Manager

The Visitor Center Manager will be charged with the smooth running of the Behold! New Lebanon Visitor Center. S/he will be in charge of all aspects of the Center’s operation including ticket and shop sales, directions, and tourist advice  and will supervise its paid and volunteer staff. Located at 14398 NY 22 (at the Shedman), the Center will be open 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM  Thus – Sunday or Monday depending on the weekend.

A successful candidate will be highly organized, computer literate, patient, friendly, and a skilled manager. S/he will be calm in the face of difficulties and upbeat about the program and New Lebanon.

Pay $ 15 per hour for a total of 18 days @ $ 2,580 for the season.

 

Program Manager

The Program Manager will coordinate and oversee all aspects of the programs associated with Behold! New Lebanon. The Manager’s goal will be to ensure a smooth program operation. S/he will confirm all program presenters, assign Program Associates to assist them, troubleshoot problems, oversee the evaluation process and assist in making every program a success for both the presenters and the visitors.

A successful candidate will be highly organized, computer literate, patient, friendly and insightful. S/he will be a skilled and diplomatic manager, calm in the face of crisis and determined to help each presenter shine.

Pay @ $ 15 per hour for a total of  up to18 days @ $ 2,580 for the season.

Program Assistants (3)

Program Assistants will be assigned to help each Program Presenter. Duties will range from set up and clean up to distribution of surveys, answering questions, assisting visitors, and helping during the program.

Successful candidates will be smart, attentive to detail, personable, flexible, helpful and interested in learning what the presenters teach.

Pay @ $ 12 per hour for a total of up to 18 days @ $ 1,872 for the season

 

Center Staff (2)

            Center staff will work under the supervision of the Center Manger to ensure the smooth and pleasant operation of the Visitor Center. Duties may range from ticket and shop sales, to offering program advice, directions and answering visitor’s questions.

Successful candidates will be helpful, personable, diplomatic and organized and interested in visitor services.
