It is noted that the new Common Core State Standards in English/language arts and mathematics are, in general, on par with the standards of leading states (including Massachusetts), as well as those of the IB and others used to assess college readiness, but they may be more demanding in some areas.

It’s also worth the time to skim the comments… The question is raised about whether being aligned with noteworthy state standards ensures the ultimate goal of “college readiness” for all students.
